Prof.K.V.Krishna Murthy, the Chairman & Managing Trustee of I-SERVE is a highly popular and an exemplary scholar with a rare combination of oriental and western knowledge imbibed in him. Strongly, an unusual mix of poetic and scientific talents finds happy abode in him. Born in an orthodox family of traditional Vedic Scholars of national repute, oriental knowledge descended on him as his rightful ancestral property whereas his quest for exploring the secrets of nature , his rational thinking and inquisitive approach made him embrace the western scientific knowledge, thus enabling him acquire his master's degree in Modern Mathematics. He is surely the rarest breed of scholars whose sword shines sharp at both the edges.

Necessities of life drove him to a Bank job, which added economic flavor and administrative managerial skills to the abundance of his knowledge.

The maturity of the spiritual knowledge inherited from his illustrious father Sri Kuppa Lakshmavadhani (Later on Sri Swami Janardanananda Saraswathi), proved its merit with his Judicious decision to take voluntary retirement from a lucrative service at the age of 37. The sprawling marvel of the present day spiritual world, Sri Sri Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji instantly approved this by making him the Vidyadhikari and Trustee of His Avadhoota Datta Peetham, Mysore.

Prof. K.V.Krishna Murthy, by that time, authored around thirty books in Sanskrit, Telugu, and English. He had the rarest fortune of writing the biography of Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji in a volume of around 1400 pages and this work stood as a master piece amongst the life sketches of Indian saints. This work of genius is regarded as a "Holy Text" by all the devotees of Swamiji through out the world and later on got translated into English, Germany, French, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi etc.

A versatile speaker of international acclaim, Sri Kuppa Venkata Krishna Murthy's discourses on Yogavasista is being telecast on Gemini & other Telugu channels since April, 2002. His ability in analysis and teaching secrets of Puranas and Vedanta Sastra in an easy way attracted many audience and fans worldwide.

His literary abilities proved their metal in the cine field, in 1986 when he wrote dialogues to the movie "Sree Datta Darshanam" in Telugu, which saw thundering triumphs of those days.

Such matured and well established scholar received various honors such as Ugadi Puraskar, by Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in 2002, Jnana Saraswathi Puraskar, by the famous Saraswathi Temple of Basara in 2002, Sri Kalyanananda Bharathi Prathibha Puraskar, by Sri Maha Kameswari Peetham in 2003, Kulapati Puraskar by Maharshi Vignana Peetham also in 2003, Sri Ramachandra Puraskar Karnataka in 2004 and many more. JNIAS, a reputed research organization established by Prof. Dr. D. Swaminadhan has appointed him as an honorary professor in their Vedic research wing in Feb. 2007

This Trustee, Educational Officer (Vidyadhikari) of Avadhoota Datta Peetham and Chief Editor for Bhaktimala, its monthly magazine also has held various other positions such as Member of the Veda Sastra Pundit Selection Committee of A.P. Endowments Department for the year 2002, Member of TTD's Sri Venkateswara Institute of higher Vedic Studies for 2003.

Under the able guidance of his noble master Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji, Sri K.V.Krishna Murthy's insight into the scientific aspects of Vedic knowledge dived deep and flew high in the annals of imagination and comprehension and this made him fit to be commanded by his Guru to start the Institute of SERVE, and serve the humanity, for generations to come. This 57 years scholar is now busy as Chairman & Managing Trustee running an Institute for "Scientific Research on Vedas (SERVE)", a Regd. Charitable Trust, authoring many research papers on Vedic Sciences and participating and conducting many scientific and spiritual conferences on behalf of SERVE and Avadhoota Datta Peetham.
