As per the decision of the participants of “The Core Committee meeting of I-SERVE” held on 22nd April, 2007, a special “Work Shop on I-SERVE Projects” was conducted on 3rd June 2007 in the Seminar Hall of Dr. Swaminathan’s Research Foundation, Domalguda, Hyderabad. In this, power point presentations on four projects of I-SERVE were presented as mentioned below:

1. “Building database for Ayurvedic Medicines on Sandhivaata & Medhovridhi” by Dr.Virinchi, B.A.M.S, M.B.A (NU), Hyderabad.

2. “Ternary interactions between Oshadhi, Anupaana & Pathyam in Ayurvedic treatment of chronic digestive system disorders” by Dr.K.B.S. Prasad, Retd. Scientist, IICT, Hyderabad.

3. “New computer Logic based on Paanini’s Sanskrit grammar” by Sri Vasudeva rao Vadoothker, Scientist, DRDL.

4. “Astro Meteorology” by Sri V.V Ravi, Meteorology Department, (DMH) Hyderabad.

At the out set Dr. Dhanvanthri Acharya, MBBS, D.O, Ayurveda Acharya from Machilipatnam gave an enlightening discourse on the efficiencies and limitations of Ayurvedic system.

While the technical details of the projects were being presented, many of the prominent scientists and educationalists present participated in deep discussions. Those that participated in such discussion included Prof. V.Kannan, Pro- Chancellor ,Central University, Hyderabad, Dr. V.L. Deekshitulu, former Director, NRSA, Dr. V.Ramesam, Formerly Advisor, DST, Dr. S.K. Ghosh, Dy. Director NGRI, Dr. S.Chandra Shekar, Deputy Director, IICT, Dr.K.Sriniathan, Asst. professor, IIIT, Hyderabad, Prof. K.V.K.Nehru, JNTU, Hyderabad, Prof. V.L.S. After prolonged and in depth discussion, the participants appreciated the line of working in the case of the two Ayurvedic projects and the computer project. In the case of the remaining project, it was suggested to gather more information and come back for discussion.

A special encouragement was given to the “Computer vs. Paanini grammar project” and it was suggested that the improvement of work in this project be reviewed periodically by a compact group of computer experts. The Chairman of I-SERVE was advised to identify the experts and make other necessary arrangements in this regard.

After the discussion of these four projects, an exclusive presentation on “Sri Chakra & Quantum mechanics” was presented by Prof. V.G.K Pisipati, former Prof. of Physics, Nagarjuna University, Guntur. It was an excellent presentation. He explained some of the wonderful secrets of Sri Chakra and Lalita Sahasra Nama in a most scientific way. He gave energy values to the lines of Sri Chakra and numerical values to the letters of Lalitha Sahasranama in a logical way, which led him to the unveilment of unexpected secrets of Sri Chakra and Lalita Sahasranama

Many of the listeners felt the time given to him was inadequate for the presentation and infact it deserved a series of presentations to have comprehensive understanding of the subject.

We hope an opportunity to have such series of presentations will come soon.

The work shop concluded by vote of thanks proposed by Prof. K.V.Krishna Murthy, Chairman, I-SERVE.
